Our Story

The Enys Chamber Music Festival is a young and growing celebration of classical music geared towards making classical music fun and accessible to communities in and around Falmouth and Penryn.

Our first festival took place in 2023 stemming from 5 years of one-off quartet concerts at Enys Gardens. The Enys Quartet, followed by the Franco-Mendes Quartet viewed their one-off performances in Cornwall as the highlight of their year, always wanting to return with something more ambitious, resulting in the cellist (Stefan Rogers) and violist (Ammal Bhatia) founding the festival with the kind help of a group of musicians from the Royal Northern College of Music.

High quality, accessible and diverse chamber music is our simple goal at ECMF. We held our first festival last summer and we collaborated with over 20 young artists and hundreds of eager audience members. This year we return to only build on this foundation and connect with more and more music lovers. We curate events catered to both: those new to classical concerts, and seasoned concert goers. There is something for everyone at the ECMF!
