The Talland Quartet formed in the summer of 2022 and are winners of the RNCM's Hirsch Prize for their performance of Beethoven. They have recently completed a year studying at the prestigious Hans Keller Forum and have worked with some of the country's leading quartets including the Elias Quartet and the Doric Quartet.

Since their formation in 2021 the Aestus Quartet has gone on o establish themselves as a dynamic ensemble that is recognized for their sensitive musical approach. Having been the Studio Quartet at the RNCM they are now studying at the Rachmaninoff Conservatoire in Paris with Gabriel Le Magadure from Quatuor Ebene.

The Franco-Mendes Quartet formed in 2019 at the RNCM. They were finalists in the College's Wiel, Hirsch, Nossek and Brodsky Prizes and have worked with some of the UK's top ensembles including the Chillingigrian Quartet, the Navarra Quartet and the Gould Trio. Named after the Dutch Composer, Jacques Franco-Mendes, the quartet aims to explore lesser-known works.

Duo Stringendo formed in 2022 at the Royal Northern College of Music. They met when Chris Karwacinski was looking for a guitarist to teach him to play mandolin for an upcoming project. Guitarist, Chris Godhard, offered to teach him and soon they were working as a duo. They have gone on to study with Craig Ogden and Ben Holland and perform regularly across the UK.

Bryn was born and bred in West Penwith and started playing the double bass when he was sixteen. He Studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Bryn performs with the BBC Philharmonic and Hallé orchestras and is currently undertaking further studies in San Sebastián.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jocelyn Lau Studied at the RNCM with Yossi Zivoni following a degree in Sociology and Music at the University of Hong Kong. Jocelyn has worked with violinists, Ning Fend, Sophia Jaffe and Tanja Becker-Bender, and has performed in festivals across Europe including the prestigious Allegro Vivo Festival in Horn Austria.

Matteo Cimatti is a prize-winning Italian violinist who has been praised for his “...refined playing and melodious and intense tone…” (ANSA). Based between London and Switzerland, he has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra Giovanile Italiana.

Composer and Violinist Sam Kane grew up in Northern Ireland with a love for classical and Irish traditional music. He studied at the RNCM with Cecily Ward and has completed professional experience schemes with the Ulster Orchestra and Manchester Camerata. As a composer his works have been recieved many notable performances including at Wigmore Hall and on Classic FM.
