ECMF - CMST Young Musician's Program

This year we're very excited to be initiating our Young Musician's Program in partnership with the Cornwall Music Service Trust (CMST). Through the program we aim to both provide learning and performance opportunities to young people currently studying instruments, and inspire a wider engagement in classical music across the region.

ECMF - CMST workshops

In March 2026 we're working with the Cornwall Music Service Trust (CMST) to put on a series of interactive workshops in primary schools across south Cornwall. Not only will these workshops provide fun interactive experiences for young people in the area to discover the joys of music making, but will also offer opportunities for them to pick up an instrument through the CMST.

Music in the Gardens

We're very excited to be reworking our original event "Music in the Gardens" in 2026 to celebrate emerging Cornish talent. Working alongside the CMST we are excited to be welcoming young musicians from across Cornwall to Enys for a day of fun relaxed performances in Cornwall's oldest gardens.

James Gilbert Masterclass

We are thrilled to be welcoming James Gilbert back to the ECMF following his incredible performances in 2025. Since our last festival, James has been appointed to the position of principal clarinet of the BBC Concert Orchestra and we're very excited to announce that he'll be offering mentorship to local young musicians through a series of masterclasses at our 2026 festival.
