Following on from Music in the Gardens, join us in the house for a short series of masterclasses given by multi award winning clarinetist, James Gilbert. 

 

James is an exceptional musician who we had the privilege of working with in the 2025 festival where he performed Mozart's Clarinet Quintet with the Elmore Quartet. Since last year he has achieved the role of Principal Clarinet in the BBC Concert Orchestra, and has performed as guest principal clarinetist in orchestras across the UK. James is a proponent of contemporary music performance and as a member of Ensemble Renard, has enjoyed working alongside many of the UK's foremost current and upcoming composers.

These masterclasses were created in collaboration with the Cornwall Music Service Trust and we're very thankful for their support of our activities, and giving us the opportunity to showcase some of Cornwall's most talented young musicians.
